Our System and Method
Our students, excepting beginners, are evaluated to determine their entrance level, so we can place each one in the group best matched to their ability, and to establish the appropriate program for their private classes.
Our concern is to meet the individual needs of each student during his/her acquisition of Spanish as a foreign language, for this reason our groups are no larger than 4 to 6 students each.
All our class materials comply with DELE standards, and allow our students to gain a progressive mastery of Spanish grammar, as well as colloquial forms, right from the beggining.
We consider that learning grammar is essential to acquiring a language, as it is the corner-stone to expressing oneself correctly, both formally and informally. In each class, grammar is introduced as a written or oral communication act, and then it is practiced with written exercises, video, audio, role-playing, etc.
Furthermore, students are encouraged to experiment with their own productions, as it will enable them to interact with native speakers outside the school. From the very first lesson, we include information so students comprehend the cultural context they will be surrounded by outside the school, and use the appropriate register.
Throughout the first levels, we encourage the use of local newspapers, as a form of immersion in current social, cultural and political events. As of level Intermediate I, students have access to historical information, essays, and newspaper articles on a daily basis to broaden their vocabulary and strengthen their grasp on the structures.
For the more advance levels, we have comprehensive programs, combined with History, Arts and argentine and Latin American Literature.

Group Courses

These classes are small, typically only 3 to 6 students, with similar levels of proficiency. AISL keeps classes small so that we can provide students with lots of personal attention.
AISL recommends the group classes to students who will be making longer visits, especially if they are interested in complementing their language studies with other cultural, sightseeing, and social experiences.
